Woman accused of mailing drugs to inmate

WESTVILLE, Ind. -- A woman was arrested for allegedly mailing drugs to an inmate at the Westville Correctional Facility.
Leah Ann Schierbaum was arrested at her workplace on Wednesday by correctional police officers.
She was taken to the La Porte County Jail and booked on the arrest warrant.
Correctional officers conducted an interview with Schierbaum and she allegedly confessed to mailing ten 12 mg strips of suboxone to an offender.
She is facing preliminary charges of trafficking a controlled substance, a level 5 felony.
