Westbound lanes of Toll Road in La Porte County reopen after crash

LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. — The Indiana State Police say a semi heading southbound on US 421 left the road and went down an embankment and into the westbound lanes of the Toll Road where it hit a pick-up truck pulling a trailer.
Troopers say there are injuries but everyone involved is expected to be okay.
It happened around 6 a.m Wednesday near the Michigan City exit.
One lane of westbound traffic re-opened just after 8 a.m.
The rest of the highway reopened just before 9:30.
