Ora joined the Navy after graduating from Mishawaka High School in 1970. He started as a RadioMen (RM) on the LST USS Tuscaloosa. He was on Active Duty for 3 years and then spent the next 22 years in the Reserves. He retired as a Store Keeper First Class (SK1/E-6) in 1995. Ora passed away in November of 2009. We are very proud of his service and 3 of his children followed his footsteps by joining the Navy and the Army.

If you ever said he was in the Air Force, he would correct you because during WWII it was known as the Army Air Corps. He lived in Buchanan, Michigan for over 40 years.
