Verizon Wireless store robbed of cash, phones

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Police are investigating a robbery at the Verizon Wireless store in the 1700 block of South Bend Avenue.

Around 7:45 p.m., employees told police a man entered the store to ask about phones.

A second man entered the store with a gun, closely followed by a third man, police said.

The suspects grabbed cash from the registers and took several phones, then left the store.

The suspects were driving a blue Jeep Liberty, police said.
