Traffic restrictions to begin Sept. 19 on Edison, Ironwood intersection

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Traffic restrictions will begin on Wednesday, Sept. 19 for the Edison Road and Ironwood Road intersections.

According South Bend’s Department of Public Works, lane restrictions will temporarily be in effect for the intersection of Ironwood Drive and Edison road due to sign modernization.

The sign modernizations will include new traffic lights and new poles in the final phase of the Ironwood Drive Pavement Rehabiliation and Intersection Project.

The project is funded through Indiana’s Community Crossings Matching Grant.

Work is expected to be completed by Oct. 2.
