Teen shot near Elmer Street and Vassar Avenue

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – South Bend Police are investigating a shooting that injured a 17-year-old male on Sunday afternoon.
Police were dispatched to the hospital around 2:30 p.m. on a report of a shooting victim.
The 17-year-old told police he was near Elmer Street and Vassar Avenue when he heard gunshots. He ran to a residence on Elmer Street and was taken to the hospital.
Police have limited information on the incident but are investigating what happened.
