“Talk to a Lawyer Today” to provide free legal assistance

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – If you need legal advice, you can get it for free on Monday though the “Talk to a Lawyer Today” pro bono program.

According to the Indiana State Bar Association, the program is part of an annual tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

This is an opportunity for the general public to meet with attorneys either in person or over the phone.

The ISBA says walk-in locations include the South Bend Public Library from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and the Michigan City and LaPorte Public Libraries from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

If you would rather call, there is a state-wide hotline at 1-800-266-2581.

The free consultations last approximately 10 to 15 minutes.
