LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. -- The La Porte County Sheriff's Office has released surveillance photos of people they are trying to identify in connection with a burglary, theft and vandalism of a veteran's residence and property on 3rd Line Road.

Deputies say over the past week multiple people in different vehicles have removed guns and prescription medication from the veteran's residence.

Windows of several vehicles on the property have been shattered and one vehicle was overturned and a large amount of scrap metal was stolen.

At the time these incidents occurred, the 72-year-old Vietnam veteran was away visiting family.

Deputies are asking for the public's help identifying the people and vehicles in the surveillance photos. The male pictured told someone he was the grandson of the victim when confronted by another person as he was entering the property.
