SOUTH BEND, Ind. - South Bend Community Schools Superintendent Dr. Kenneth Spells is now in his second year with the school district.  In an effort to be more transparent and open the lines of communications with parents and students, he is hosting a “Let’s Talk” tour.

The first event in that tour is scheduled to start at 5:30 Thursday night at Washington High School.

This gives students, parents and people in the community one-on-one time with Dr. Spells.

“I’m proud to have it here at Washington,” said John Kennedy, principal of Washington High School.  “I’m proud to be able to showcase our school a little bit and the great things we have going on.”

Other South Bend Community School employees will be at the event to talk about the schools and programs.

The school corporations wants to encourage anyone with a concern or suggestion for the superintendent to attend one of the events.

“Dr. Spells promotes transparency and interaction with the public,” said Kennedy. “I think he also wants to highlight all the great things we have going on in team South Bend.
