SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Several members of the South Bend Common Council and the city's clerk filed for re-election.
City Clerk Kareemah Fowler and council members Karen White, Sharon McBride and Tim Scott all filed for re-election at the County City Building on Wednesday.
Scott is the current council president. McBride represents the 3rd district and Karen White is an at-large council member.
"My commitment is through the city and I have a commitment to give back and make sure that I leave a legacy that I have really been committed and my work will follow me," White said.
Current council member Oliver Davis is running for mayor.
Regina Williams Preston is exploring the idea of running for mayor.
