Saturday: Cold, windy and snowy

Saturday will be our first taste of winter weather this season. Temperatures will struggle to break 40, wind gusts top 40 mph and snow is likely.

After a drastic drop overnight, temperatures will hover in the mid to upper 30s most of Saturday. On and off snow / mix showers are likely through the day.

The wind will be a big factor on Saturday, gusts could top 40 mph and may cause low visibility combined with bands of snow.

A wind advisory, has been posted for all of Michiana for gusts topping 40 mph. The wind is expected to begin calming Saturday evening.

Up to an inch of snow may fall, mostly north of US-6. The question is how much will actually stick, thanks to mild ground temperatures.
