ST.JOSEPH, Mich. -- The St.Joseph Department of Public Safety was called to the 1700 block of Forres Avenue on a report of a domestic disturbance Tuesday afternoon.
At approximately 4:33 p.m. officers arrived and spoke with an unidentified victim who claimed she had been assaulted.
Police say the male subject had refused to cooperate with officers and leave the residence.
Officers had received a tip that the male was allegedly intoxicated and armed with a weapon.
The St. Joseph Department of Public Safety and the Berrien County Sheriff's Department assisted in efforts to take the subject into custody.
There were no injuries reported.
