Police: Man who walked into hospital injured in shooting on Ewing Avenue

SOUTH BEND, Ind.—A man who walked into a hospital with an apparent gunshot wound on Wednesday night was injured in a shooting on Ewing Ave., according to South Bend Police.

Officers were notified of an 18-year-old man who walked into a hospital with non-life threatening gunshot wounds to the back and chest around 8 p.m. on Wednesday night.

Through an investigation, officers learned that a shooting occurred on Ewing Ave. between Rum Village and Walker Field Park that was a result of a disagreement.

The incident remains under investigation.
