Police investigating shooting on Dayton Street

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Police responded to reports of a shooting in the 100 block of W. Dayton Street Wednesday morning.
When police arrived they found a man with a gunshot wound to the leg.
Police say they believe the victim accidentally shot himself after putting his gun in his waistband.
The victim was taken to Memorial Hospital with a non-life threatening injury.
