Police investigating 2 shootings in South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – South Bend Police are investigating two separate shootings that happened in South Bend Saturday and Sunday. Neither shootings resulted in fatalities.

Police were dispatched on reports of shots fired to the 300 block of N. Lafayette Boulevard Saturday evening.

Officers were notified during their investigation that a 21-year-old male walked into a nearby hospital with non-life threatening wounds to his shoulder.

According to police, there was an altercation between two unknown males before shots were fired.

Police describe the suspects as two black males. One male was wearing jeans and a light blue shirt while the other male wore white pants and a dark shirt

Police were notified of a reported shooting Sunday morning near the Boost Mobile store on W. Western Avenue.

A 37-year-old male checked into a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries while police were investigating the scene.

The victim was shot before getting in his vehicle, according to police.
