Part of SR 4 to close for culvert replacement

LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. – Part of State Road 4, between County Road 300 East and County Road 350 East, will close July 5th for the installation of a new culvert.

According to INDOT, crews will close the road between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. as they dig out a section of ground that runs below the road to install the culvert.

If you are driving west on SR 4, you will be detoured southeast on SR 104, west on U.S. 6, north on U.S. 35, east on SR2 and back to SR 4.

For those traveling east, you will be detoured west on SR 2, south on U.S. 35, east on U.S. 6, northwest on SR 104 and back to your original route.

The department said this road work is subject to change in case of bad weather.
