Notre Dame ranks #3 in CFB Playoff

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The fighting Irish have fought their way all the way to #3 in the College Football Playoff rankings.

After going a mere 4-8 last season, Brian Kelly has turned this program around with a 7-1 record 9 weeks into this season.

The offense has thrived with the expertise and leadership of veteran O-Line Coach Harry Hiestand.

Quarterback Brandon Wimbush has passed for over 1,000 yards with a completion percentage of 51.5%, 10 passing touchdowns as well rushed for 11 rushing touchdowns.

While Wimbush has proven to be the offensive leader on the team, Runningback Josh Adams has proven to be lethal on the carry averaging 8.9 yards per carry with 9 touchdowns and 1169 yards.

Adams is high on the Heisman watch list this year with a phenomenal stat line through the first 8 games of the season.

After defeating two Top-15 teams in two straight dominating performances, Brian Kelly’s Fighting Irish are poised to continue that momentum in their push for a spot in the CFB National Championship in Atlanta come January.
