Notre Dame Baseball falls below .500 after loss to FSU
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- The University of Notre Dame Baseball team suffered a 6-4 loss against 7th ranked Florida State on Saturday.
The Irish are now tied 1-1 with the Seminoles after winning Friday night’s game 8-7.
Notre Dame is now 8-9 on the seasons despite having a change to tie and win the game late in the ninth inning of Saturday's game.
Despite the loss and the sub-.500 record on the season the Irish are now 3-2 against top 10 ranked teams.
In the loss Cole Daily hit his first career homerun, although it did not actually leave the ball park. The infield homerun was the first for the Irish since Kyle Fiala hit one February 25, 2017.
The Irish will return to the diamond Sunday where they will look to take the rubber match against the Seminoles. The action can bee seen from ACC Network/WatchESPN and WatchND; first pitch is at 11:30 a.m. eastern time.
