Michigan City Police force appoints new officer

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. – A new officer was announced Tuesday for the Michigan City Police Commission.

Officer Jordan Wooten will join Chief Swistek and the rest of the force in protecting Michigan City.

Officer Wooten was born in Champaign, Illinois. His father is was retired police officer.

The new hire is a United States Coast Guard officer reserve and just completed active duty.

MCPD is looking forward to their new teammate and wish his soon-to-be wife well wishes as they acclimate to Michigan City.
