Miami Street closed due to possible sinkhole, repairs underway

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A hole has caused Miami Street to close temporarily.
According to South Bend Police, the hole was discovered in the 14000 block of S. Miami Street between Indiana Avenue and Broadway Street.
TRAFFIC ALERT: There is a hole in the road in the 1400 block of S. Miami St. This is between Broadway and Indiana and traffic will be slow and restricted. #southbend

The road will be closed temporarily as road crews work to repair the street.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
No word on when the road is expected to reopen.
