Marijuana plants, pelts, untagged turkey located during search of residence

The Cass County Drug Enforcement Team executed a search warrant at a home in the 54000 block of Indian Lake Road in Silver Creek Township on Thursday.

During the search of the residence, the homeowner was allegedly in possession of processed marijuana.

Detectives allegedly located marijuana growing in the garden.

Also during the search, detectives located deer antlers, animal pelts and an untagged turkey in the freezer.

Detectives notified the Department of Natural Resources regarding the items found related to wildlife.

The homeowner was taken into custody on preliminary charges of manufacturing marijuana, felony firearms, possession of marijuana and maintaining a drug house.

The suspect's name has not been released.
