Man robbed on Madison Street Friday morning

ELKHART, Ind. -- Elkhart Police were called to the 900 block of Madison Street to investigate a robbery Friday morning just before 8 a.m.
The victim told police he was walking in the area when he was approached by a man with a handgun.
The suspect demanded the victim's money, then fled the area after taking it.
The suspect was described as a black male, in his early 20’s, 5”7” tall weighing 150 to 160 pounds. He was wearing a black shirt.
