SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Businesses and nonprofits in Michiana are rallying to give help to those who need it in Texas.

Five nutrition clubs including Healthy Happies, Healthies, Happy Healthies, Healthy Habits and Healthy Vibes are teaming up in one disaster donation drive.

Until 6 p.m. Friday, donations will be accepted at any of the locations. Hygiene items like tooth brushes, shampoos and soaps are needed, as well as non-perishable food items.

Jackie Dubois, owner of Happy Healthies, says bottled water is what is most needed.

The five nutrition clubs will pack the donations into one truck Friday evening and drive it down to Texas to help Hurricane Harvey victims.

LeSEA Global Feed the Hungry in South Bend is also joining in relief efforts to help those in Houston.

They are accepting donations, and will use several trucks to deliver those items to churches and relief agencies in the area. Donations of any kind are accepted.

Chuck Strantz with Feed the Hungry says two trucks have already left for Texas. He says they plan to help indefinitely.

Donations can be dropped off at their location. They will pick up large donations from businesses for free.
