La Porte Police investigating stabbing incident

LA PORTE, Ind. – La Porte Police are investigating a stabbing that left a man in the hospital Saturday night.
Officers say a motorist flagged down police and advised them of a man on the 600 block of Tipton Street who was heavily bleeding and appeared to have been stabbed.
The 51-year-old victim told officials he had been stabbed by the mother of his children, a 40-year-old female.
The incident happened on the 900 block of Jackson Street.
According to police, the suspect claims the victim attacked her and she picked up a kitchen knife to scare him.
No arrests have been reported.
This case remains under investigation.
