Flooding affects roads in St. Joseph County

Heavy rain has left many South Bend streets under water. City officials are advising residents to avoid non-essential travel while city crews address the flooding. If you must go out they urge extreme caution.

The following road closures are still in effect in South Bend, as of 7:45 am:

  • Bowman from Michigan to Carol
  • Ireland and High
  • Ireland between Ironwood and Ireland Trail
  • Calvert between Ironwood and Twyckenham
  • Fox between Michigan and Carol
  • Main between Ewing and Donmoyer
  • Michigan between Donmoyer and Indiana
  • Ewing at Fellows Westbound and Franklin Eastbound
  • Burdette at Ireland
  • Walter between Michigan and the O'Brien Center
