Fall color could peak by next weekend

After a cool start Friday fall colors are starting to turn more across Michiana. Mild weather continues to slow the color change but peak color looks to be closing in by next weekend.

Fall color is just starting to peak across northern Wisconsin and Michigan this weekend. The forecast through early next week still calls for temperatures well above normal, so the autumn turnover will continue to be slow.

Next weekend ( October 22nd) is still on track to be the likely peak for our fall color in Michiana, however it may be as late as the middle of the following week (October 26th).

Leaves however will likely still be on some trees through Halloween with our late turn.
