Elkhart man sentenced to federal prison for possessing firearm

An Elkhart man has been sentenced to federal prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Eugene Troxell, 46, was sentenced to 86 months in prison followed by 2 years supervised release.

Troxell sold two guns that had been stolen from a federally licensed dealer, according to court records.

He has 12 prior felony convictions and nine misdemeanor convictions.
