Driver in crash on US 20 in July dies from injuries

LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. -- The driver of a vehicle involved in a three vehicle crash on US 20 on July 19 has died from his injuries, according to the La Porte County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said Rossie Terry, 82, was traveling east on US20 when his yellow Jeep Wrangler rear ended a silver Jeep Cherokee, which was stopped in the left lane waiting to make a left turn onto CR300.

The Cherokee was then struck by a semi.

Terry was extricated from his vehicle and flown to the hospital.

The sheriff's office was notified of his death on August 16.

Terry's passenger sustained minor injuries.

The other drivers in the crash were not injured.
