Driver charged with OWI after Toll Road crash

LA GRANGE COUNTY, Ind. -- A driver who crashed while making an illegal U-turn was arrested for allegedly driving with a BAC three times the legal limit, according to Indiana State Police.

Tuesday afternoon, troopers responded to a crash at the 125 mile marker in the westbound lanes of the Indiana Toll Road.

The investigation revealed Michael Graeff, 58, was making a U-turn and drove into the path of a westbound Ford F-450.

During the investigation, the trooper suspected Graeff was intoxicated and determined his BAC was three times the legal limit, reports said.

Graeff was charged with operating while intoxicated with a BAC higher than .15% and operating while intoxicated endangerment.

There were no injuries in the crash.
