Driver arrested in fatal crash involving horse and buggy

TOPEKA, Ind. -- The driver whose vehicle struck a horse and buggy and killed 2 of its passengers was arrested in connection with the crash, according to the La Grange County Sheriff's Department.

Velda Miller, 44, and Melissa Jo Miller, 15, were passengers in the horse and buggy when it was struck by a Chevy Malibu driven by 21-year-old Jazieel DeLeon-Galvan early Saturday morning, according to deputies.

DeLeon-Galvan was booked into the LaGrange County Jail on two counts of OWI-causing death of another person, both level 4 felonies.
