Deputies investigate allegations of animal neglect

LA GRANGE COUNTY, Ind. -- The La Grange County Sheriff's Department investigated reports of possible animal neglect at a home N. SR9 in Howe.
A veterinarian for the State Board of Animal Heath inspected all of the animals on the property, deputies said.
Deputies said adequate water and food sources were located on the property, and adequate medical and health care requirements were being administered to the animals.
Deputies said the property owner was cooperative and forthcoming concerning the animals.
The State Board of Animal Health will conduct a follow up visit to verify adequate care is being provided to the animals.
