Three bridges in three counties will undergo restoration work starting July 5th.

The Indiana Department of Transportation will close lanes on U.S. 31 at the bridge over Lincoln Highway, the Conrail Railroad Tracks and 10th Road, between 9A and 11th Road in Marshall County through the end of September.

U.S. 31 will be open to traffic, but restricted to one northbound and one southbound lane.

Two other bridges, State Road 933 over Baugo Creek in Osceola and State Road 149 over Salt Creek in Porter County will also experience lane closures starting later in August.

According to INDOT, these projects are part of a $1.3 million restoration investment that INDOT awarded to JCI Bridge Group.

Road crews will seal, restore, and rehab the concrete surfaces of the bridges.

The department asks drivers to pay attention in construction zones and obey posted speed limits.
