Body found in St. Joseph County has been identified

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – The body that was found in a St. Joseph County field Tuesday morning has been identified as Manuel Martinez, according to St. Joseph County Police.
The 38-year-old was a Will County, Ill. Resident but had been staying in LaPorte.
Police identified the man by fingerprints.
Investigators are working to determine how Martinez came to the South Bend area field.
St. Joseph County Police and Coroner are waiting for final testing from the autopsy.
