Body found in Lake Michigan identified

BENTON CHARTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A missing body was seen nearly 3 weeks later in Lake Michigan by a boater who called 911.
The boater’s call came in to dispatch just after 10:30 a.m. on May 28th.
The Coast Guard transported the deceased body to the Coast Guard station upon their arrival, and identified the man as 48-year-old Michael William.
William was a Benton Township resident and was reported missing by family on May 10th, 2018.
The cause of William’s death is unknown, and Benton Township police are still investigating the incident.
