BENTON HARBOR, Mich – Benton Harbor City Council discussed ways to make house parties and large gatherings safer at Wednesday’s City Council meeting.
House parties are a hot topic in the area because of recent events.
Three recent deadly shootings stemmed from house parties or large gatherings, one of which led to the death of two people and the suspect, Antwan Mims, landing on the F.B.I.’s most wanted list.
The meeting at Benton Harbor City Hall was the first of a series of meetings to find a solution to this growing problem.
“There was questions about house parties and large gatherings and what could be done” said Darwin Watson Benton Harbor City Manager.
City Administrators confirm that there will be an announcement from Benton Harbor Public Safetty implementing safety measures regarding this issue.
