79-year-old man robbed by man on rollerblades in Elkhart

ELKHART, Ind. -- A 79-year-old man was robbed Thursday afternoon after he agreed to give a man on rollerblades $1, according to Elkhart Police.

Police were called to the 400 block of S. Main Street around 3 p.m. Thursday to investigate the robbery.

The victim told police a man on rollerblades, between the ages of 16 and 18, asked him for $1.

When he pulled out his wallet to give the man the dollar bill, the young man grabbed his wallet and rollerbladed away, police said.
