2 South Bend Cubs players will reside at St. Paul's again this season

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Two South Bend Cubs players have been invited to live at St. Paul's senior living community. This is the third year of the partnership between the South Bend Cubs and Saint Joseph Health System.

The two players will begin living at St. Paul's in April.

The players will host a brunch on Monday, April 23 to welcome the players. South Bend Cubs President Joe Hart and Stu the Bear will introduce the players to the residents during the welcome brunch.

"Being so far away from their families is tough,” said Hart. “But the players really get an opportunity to become part of a supportive family while they are living their dream of playing professional baseball. It was an easy decision to help make this partnership happen again.”

This is the third year St. Paul's has invited South Bend Cubs players to live in the community.

“Without question this experience for both our residents and the players is unlike anything else,” said Binkley. “Our residents get to know the players on a one-on-one basis, and the players get the benefit of coming ‘home’ every night to share their experiences.”
